Meet Absinthia:
A Trailblazer in the World of Absinthe

Meet Absinthia, the founder of Absinthia Absinthe, an award-winning absinthe distiller dedicated to honoring tradition while innovating the craft of the Green Fairy.

From Art History to the Green Fairy

Absinthe—the legendary spirit that captivated Van Gogh, Toulouse-Lautrec, and countless artists—fascinated me. Their obsession with La Fée Verte (The Green Fairy) ignited my curiosity and determination. I had to experience it myself.

My First Taste of Absinthe: A Life-Changing Moment

In 1996, at a San Francisco Cacophony Society gathering—a vibrant mix of art, music, and free-spirited creativity—I had my first taste of absinthe.

The experience was unlike anything I had ever encountered:

I knew absinthe was something special.

Bootlegging the Green Fairy:
The Origins of Absinthia Absinthe

By April Fool’s Day, 1997, I had started crafting small-batch absinthe, following traditional recipes while experimenting with unique herbal blends.

There was just one problem—absinthe had been banned in the U.S. for over 85 years.

But that didn’t stop me.

I worked underground, distilling authentic absinthe and sharing it with a select few who appreciated its rich, herbal complexity.

💡 Word spread, and a dedicated following grew.

Then, history changed—absinthe became legal. And I was ready to bring my passion to the world.

The Birth of Absinthia’s Bottled Spirits

In 2017, I founded Absinthia’s Bottled Spirits, launching four award-winning absinthes crafted with organic botanicals and Napa Valley grapes—ensuring a natural sweetness with no sugar needed. At Absinthia Absinthe, we craft premium, organic absinthes that honor tradition while innovating the industry.
